Melben Feast till Pok Kai

Today,

my family and I went to eat at Melben.

I was supposed to treat them to a meal since my internship just ended.

Well, all I can say is that this meal is a little too hard on me since I WAS just an intern ):

Ohwells, at least we enjoyed the dinner.

The crab restaurant is located at toa payoh lor.8's market which is walking distance from where I live.

Errr, I've been living here since birth and never once have we tried eating at Melben,

hence the decision to have dinner there.

I shall go straight to the point, I spent $165 on the food. *OUCH*

could have bought new balance shoes or a wacom tablet with that money.

Comforting myself, I always say... it's alright, long long one time

Okay enough of ranting about the price,

I shall show you how in this battle of man VS food,

the cuttlefish kakong isn't that awesome but the rest were quite good.

So we expressed what we felt about the dish through our expressions.

That sums up our fabulous dinner at the crab restaurant 

and I dont think we will be going back anytime soon until we save up enough to feast another round.

Twinsies Tuesday

School have been rather tough this week.

There's been a lot of planning to do in the head, a lot of sketching, a lot of redoing stuff.

Ohwells, other than that I've been having more than enough rest since lesson starts at 3.

It's really important that we rest enough now and pamper ourselves since its the pre-production period.

I know, we should give our all during pre-production too but the time given for us to do our work is too spaced out there's so much time to zuo bo.

That's what I really dislike about this industry.

It's like CHIONGZZZZ at one point and suddenly we can hibernate at the other.

Anyways, my story has been finalized BUT I'm still not satisfied with the character designs.

It's been really looong since I last drew 

so it feels like my sketches are really flat and don't have depth in them.

Makes me saddd sobbiez.

It's quite frustrating too when I can't get what's in my head out on the paper

since my drawing is rusty now.

Ohwells, I'll be praying HARD for this FYP.

So today,

Markusoi and I wore the same tee AGAIN

Since we got this shirt in 2011 DOC I think we wore it on the same day for more than 10 times

He shall be my new camp tee buddy LOL

So we decided to do some H&M modelling

BABES weekend exposure

NOPE!

Not the kindda hot babes you're thinking about right now.

Anyways, it's been quite a baby-ful week.

Not really the whole week though, just friday and sunday.

I still got to see more kiddos then usual though.

FRIDAY

I'm finally back to the kids!

It's been really hard to find time to go visit the kids for the past 4 months because of internship.

Thankfully, now that school has started, it's back to the 4 day-week.

PHEW! Thought I'll never be able to see them anymore hahah!

Sorry for being biased, but I really love Joseph

He's amazingly gentleman for his age okay. Maybe he took after Joseph in the bible hahah!

There were many time when Joseph's actions touched me alright, but I'll just share one incident.

We were giving out coloured papers to the children and he took the last purple paper.

The girl after him wanted purple too so he just gave up his purple paper and took another colour.

AWWW ISN'T HE SWEET!

Then, my mum and I went lunch at far east plaza before shopping around.

We ate at this shop called 5 Little Bears.

It has like a 客站 feel to it, and I think it's Taiwan based.

We tried this fried plum sweet potato thingy which was quite nice uh.

SUNDAY

IT'S HAYDRIEL'S 1st BIRTHDAY PARTY!

This is kindda like the first time I'm invited to a birthday party for a one year old.

Got for her a pooh bear (because I lurve it!) and strawberry backpack.

Quite a fun experience though there wasn't nothing much to do apart from eating, staring at adults talk, playing with kids and talking amongst ourselves.

So we ended up taking pictures with Jasmin's polaroid.

The cupcake was AMAZABLES btw, although it was extremely sweet

The party ended at around 4plus pm, then headed for granny's.

My baby cousin came, she's fabulously pretty okay!

Never once have I seen a baby that pretty.

Therefore, I decided to steal a shot with her.

Ohwells, that was how my weekends went basically!

Hello Everyone,

especially to yeobo who kept pestering me to update my blog LOL

I have been back to school for a week now.

It's quite enjoyable so far.

Since I've finished my internship programme, it is now time for Final Year Project (FYP)!

Feeling rather excited about it but nervous at the same time.

For the past week we have been pitching our story ideas to Mr. Alan.

Most of my stories have been rejected since they had too much gore or have risk of being rated by the MDA ):

It's not a good thing if our projects get rated because it would mean that our work wouldn't be able to get displayed for design show sobz.

Mr.Alan had been really strict with us as he's very driven to make us all do extremely well for this FYP.

It's a good thing I guess since we're the very last batch of animation students.

SAD!

Anws, I would be pitching my story with sketches to him tmr,

hopefully things would go well!

Shared my story troubles with jiejie Kerin.

She told me to take this chance to do smth that can spread the gospel.

Had been thinking of doing the prodigal son,

but to think of it now, it would be a really looong story hahah!

So I've decided to do a children's story, short and sweet.

And on friday, there were no classes.

However, I still had to go to school for a talk and internship sharing session.

Ellis got bored and decided to take pics of us using my phone (LOL?)

See, I so angry that she's kidnapped my phone hahahah

Today, I went to my granny house and my baby cousin was there YAYME!

She's really the most beautiful baby I've ever met.

Look at those shiny eyes!

Can't wait to spoil her when she grows up

a PINK-CESS after INTERNSHIP

Yes guys, I'm finally back and this time...

WITH PINK HAIR!

It's actually my first time bleaching my hair so I was quite nervous about it.

I have had the thought of having bright coloured hair since the beginning of internship and I've finally found the balls to do it!

Tbh, it wasn't as enjoyable an experience as I thought it would have been.

Not sure of how long an average person would take to bleach their hair,

I took a full 2 hrs to bleach my hair thrice.

It got really boring especially after the first hour.

And the worst part of it all...

I HAD TO PEE!

I know I could have just went to a nearby toilet but I didn't want to show the whole world my half-bleached half which looked revolting hahah!

Speaking of my half-bleached hair,

I swear I got the shock of my life after he removed the towel from my head.

I looked like a freaking LION okay I'm not kidding

Even the guy bleaching my hair kept laughing at how horrendous I looked omg.

He was quite mean to me uh, but in a friendly way.

I guess that's just his way of building rapport with his customers.

Even when starting on the pink dye,

he continued laughing at how the dye stains my hair so easily LOL.

It actually makes me doubt his skills actually.

He didn't seem like he had good experience with customers wanting to have bright coloured hair.

Overall I wouldn't say I was satisfied with the end results,

but it wasn't that bad either.

I wanted a darker pink like Ariana Grande.

(not the red, but the pink hahah!)

In the end, it turned out rather purplish and outstanding.

Just hope that I wouldn't attract too much attention in church this sunday,

Don't wanna have a talk with the pastor hahah! :P

AND...

INTERNSHIP IS FINALLY OVERRRR!!

Yes, braved through three months with 6 of my fellow coursemates.

It had been quite a great experience,

learnt alot, got scolded quite abit, became more organized,

I can't think of more at this moment but there's really alot more I've benefitted from it.

It was quite a tough 3 mths because we had never once got to leave on time from work.

That's how it is in this industry though,

having to rush datelines every single day.

However, I'm really grateful to my mentors there as they had been really patient with me,

especially since there'd so many areas I've screwed up on.

The best part was that,

the head of post-production team treat us post-production interns to some great food at marché!

Couldn't get a shot of all the food but this was probably only 1/5 of it!

Love the rosti~

and I'll never be able to forget the jokes they made about the sausages that came with it.

I'll probably not reveal the jokes here since it can be quite sensitive hahah!

I'll really miss the times I had with these fun-loving people at Freeflow Productions!
